Bahrain has no competition statute in force.

"However, there are some provisions in the Constitution, and the Law of Commerce, which deals with this aspect. Article 117 of the Constitution stipulates that any monopoly shall only be awarded by law and for a limited time. The Law of Commerce (Article 59 to 64) which is applicable to traders and to all commercial activities undertaken by any person, even though he is not a trader, has a section on unfair competition."[1]
